Good morning,
Confluence Health received around 7,200 phone calls yesterday.
It's just one sign of the intense demand for information as officials ramp up a historic vaccination campaign across North Central Washington.
More than anything, state and local health officials are urging people to be patient as the plans are changing rapidly and vaccine is still in short supply.
The focus in the Wenatchee Valley has turned to the Town Toyota Center, which will open as a mass-vaccination site today.
The site is only open to eligible people who have pre-registered. And all appointment slots this week are full, officials said Monday.
The state has set up a registration website for people to sign up for this site and others in the state. It's available here.
While eligibility has recently expanded to people 65 and older, the Chelan-Douglas Health District said Monday that it will be prioritizing people over 80 in the coming weeks.
The World is collecting resources and answering frequently asked questions on this page. We'll keep it updated as more information becomes available.
The World also spoke with Ray Eickmeyer, vaccination lead for Lake Chelan Health about the logistical challenges that come with delivering vaccines at this scale. Read more here.
The Chelan-Douglas Health District is navigating limited supply and great demand for doses. Read more from a board of health meeting Monday here.
